Jerry Rodriguez is a passionate teacher, talented photographer and a frequent rider of the ONSRA Challenger Electric Skateboard.
He was chosen as ONSRA California's rider of the month! Check out this short interview with Jerry about esk8ing and more.
1. How did you get into electric skateboarding?
I was bored during covid and hated being inside. Saw an ad for esk8 and was hooked.
2. Why did you choose an ONSRA electric skateboard?
Go big or go home. Did a ton of research and looked like a premium setup.
3. Where did you first hear about ONSRA?
YouTube comparisons and videos. The bc (ONSRA Black Carve) was getting great reviews and Fabians videos were inspiring
4. Describe your first ride
It was like snowboarding on land. So buttery smooth. I smiled instantly
5. What's the most fun ride you've had so far? Where did you go?
I live in a very beachy area with tons of awesome views and local shops and breweries. Such a chill ride that I loose track of time and have no worries about getting home :)
6. What advice would you give to new riders?
Know your limits and your board. Don’t need to go fast to your destination, just enjoy the ride. And if you can - ride with someone who shares your passion. It’s more fun with a buddy and if you run out of juice you can get a tow :)
Thanks Jerry for this interview. We are so fortunate to have you as part of the ONSRA California riders community.
